EBA - ETHYLENE BUTYL ACRYLATE
•Ethylene Butyl Acrylate (EBA) is a colorless liquid acrylate with a characteristic odor, prepared by radical polymerization.
•Because of the butyl acrylate content, it can be used for applications where softness, flexibility and polarity are required.
• Typical applications include extrusion coating, compounding and adhesives.
• EBA contains BA (Butyl acrylate monomer) ranging from 3% to 33%.
FEATURES
• Soluble in most organic solvents.
• It is spontaneously flammable.
• It is slightly soluble in water and slightly less dense than water. Thus, it creates surface lubricity on water.
• It polymerizes spontaneously due to heating under the effect of combustion and contact with peroxides.
